Illustrating the Unseen
My goal was to design a book cover that visually represents the hidden dualities of human nature—the complex emotions, the internal "shadows," and the stories left untold. The hurdle was to move beyond generic cover design and bridge the gap between the book's psychological depth and a compelling, marketable aesthetic.
I translated the author's narrative into a multi-layered watercolor illustration. By choosing watercolor, I leveraged its inherent blending properties to symbolize the complex spectrum of human emotion. I created a visual metaphor for vulnerability and depth.

A Narrative Captured in Analog Form
The use of analog watercolor artistry provides an authentic, human feel that digital rendering cannot duplicate. This choice distinguishes the book in a crowded marketplace, resonating with a sophisticated readership. I engineered a seamless transition from traditional art to a finalized print deliverable, ensuring the design’s emotional weight is preserved across all platforms and marketing assets.
